That’s right ladies and gentlemen, Hulu, the internet “T.V.” site is finally out of beta as of Thursday, March 13, 2008. Now that it is out of beta, everyone can now sign up for an account, which is great.
Now, what exactly is Hulu? Hulu is a joint project between NBC and FOX that was created after NBC dropped out of iTunes. They removed themselves from iTunes because of pricing disputes between Apple and themselves. Hulu offers free viewing of FULL EPISODES of most shows like “Family Guy”, “Who’s the Boss”, and even, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”.
Hulu is funded by ads placed where a commercial would go. It’s not a 1 minute ad or anything too long, it’s about 15 seconds, which in my opinion, isn’t too bad at all. In the new version, users can pick the ads that they want to see. They also add Warner Bros. movies! Full length movies!
I was a private beta tester for Hulu, and it is great. I don’t see it coming in competition with iTunes, but it will bring some competition in this field of media I believe.

So, would you like to know what it is? Stay tuned! This new change will be taking effect soon and everyone will just have to stick around to find out exactly what is going on.
